In this vital role the Associate Director, Commercial Data Science is responsible for defining and executing the Commercial AI and Advanced Analytics strategy across Amgen's Commercial Business Units. This leader partners with senior commercial, marketing, medical, digital, and technology stakeholders to identify high-value business opportunities where AI and data science can create measurable impact.
Rather than serving as an individual contributor, the Associate Director leads teams of data scientists and cross-functional partners to develop scalable AI/ML products and enterprise analytics capabilities that improve commercial performance and ultimately help patients receive the therapies they need.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Data Science, this individual will drive strategy, portfolio prioritization, organizational capability, and business adoption across the Commercial organization.
Flexible Commuter role to Thousand Oaks, CA office. You will work on-site a minimum of 2 days a week.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 3 years of experience in statistics, operations research, mathematics, econometrics, business administration or a quantitative field
OR
Master’s degree and 7 years of experience in statistics, operations research, mathematics, econometrics, business administration or a quantitative field
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience in statistics, operations research, mathematics, econometrics, business administration or a quantitative field
OR
Associate’s degree and 12 years of experience in statistics, operations research, mathematics, econometrics, business administration or a quantitative field
OR
High school diploma / GED and 14 years of experience in statistics, operations research, mathematics, econometrics, business administration or a quantitative field
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 3 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
