**About RetailReady**\
We're RetailReady (YC W24), an AI-powered supply chain compliance engine shaking up an antiquated (and yes, unsexy) industry. After YC, we raised a $6.6M seed round and went heads-down building for our first enterprise customers. Fast forward: 150+ brands now run their retail compliance through RetailReady, our pipeline is strong, and we're officially in scaling mode.
Here's the problem we solve. Getting into Target, Ulta or Walmart is a dream for every consumer brand. Then the rulebook shows up: every retailer has its own requirements for how orders get labeled, packed and shipped, and every mistake comes back as a chargeback that eats into margins. We help brands and their warehouses ship right the first time, and we win back the money when something slips through.
**What We Build**\
RetailReady is the first AI-powered compliance engine built specifically for retail supply chains. Our platform connects a brand's data from the first EDI order all the way through warehouse packout. That means:
* **Fully managed EDI:** brands get connected to retailers in days, not weeks
* **Chargeback prevention:** step-by-step workflows guide warehouse teams through each retailer's exact requirements
* **AI chargeback disputes:** AI agents pull chargebacks from retailer portals, gather the evidence and dispute them on autopilot
Most tools only handle one slice of the order. We see all of it, so we prevent chargebacks upstream, and when one sneaks through, we have the receipts to fight it.
**Why This Is a Great Time to Sell Here**
* **Massive market:** every brand that sells in retail deals with this problem, from emerging brands landing their first PO to household names
* **First to market:** we're the first to solve operational retail compliance end to end
* **Proof that sells itself:** brands like California Naturals, Supergoop! and Frost Buddy are already on the platform
**About the Founders**\
We bring deep operational, product and engineering backgrounds from Stord (a supply chain unicorn) and Microsoft. We know this space inside and out. Check out our [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/retailreadyai) to see our team culture, including our founder interview series, where we hit the aisles to meet the CPG founders about to take over their categories.
**The Role**\
We're looking for a BDR who loves meeting people, can't stop asking questions and wants to be part of building our go-to-market engine from the ground up. You'll work directly with our COO, GTM team and founding sales to find, open and qualify new business. This isn't a sit-in-a-call-queue role: you'll be at trade shows and in warehouses, getting to know the brands and operators who make retail run.
**What You'll Do**
* Source and research prospects across our core markets: consumer brands, Amazon-first brands getting ready for retail, and 3PL warehouses
* Run outbound across email, LinkedIn and phone, and turn cold conversations into booked meetings
* Lead first conversations with prospects to understand their retail footprint, their pain and whether RetailReady is the right fit
* Book qualified meetings for our sales lead, join the intro call and make a smooth handoff
* Nurture not-yet-ready prospects and keep the relationship warm until the timing is right
* Represent RetailReady at trade shows, industry events and in-person visits (donuts and RetailReady hats included)
* Keep HubSpot clean and share what you hear from the market so it shapes our product and messaging
**What We're Looking For**
* **Hustle and grit:** you're energized by outreach, not drained by it, and a "no" just means "not yet"
* **Curiosity:** you ask great questions and actually listen to the answers
* **Strong communicator:** you write a sharp email and can hold a confident conversation with a founder or VP of Operations
* **Coachable and organized:** you take feedback fast, track your work and follow up every time
* **Startup mindset:** ready to wear multiple hats, take ownership and build the playbook as we go
* **Curiosity about supply chain and CPG:** excited to learn an industry that touches every product on the shelf
**Bonus Points**
* Previous BDR/SDR, sales or customer-facing experience
* Experience with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or Clay
* A love for CPG brands (you know the founders behind your favorite snacks)
* Exposure to supply chain, logistics, retail or B2B SaaS
* Early-stage startup experience
**Why Join Us Now**
* **Early team member:** help shape our sales culture and go-to-market playbook
* **Proven traction:** 150+ brands on the platform and a healthy pipeline
* **Funded and stable:** a $6.6M seed round gives us runway to execute on ambitious plans
* **Real growth path:** learn the full sales cycle up close, with a clear path toward closing deals of your own
* **Learning opportunity:** work closely with founders who know this market deeply
**Location & Compensation**
* **Location:** San Francisco (in-person team)
* **Compensation:** competitive base + commission + meaningful equity
* **Benefits:** full health coverage, unlimited PTO, latest equipment
