Business Development Representative (Founding GTM)

### About BlueHill 70% of churn happens in a customer's first 90 days, and most teams run that window across five disconnected tools: a CRM for the deal, a spreadsheet for onboarding, a shared inbox for support, a project tool for the rollout, and email threads for everything else. Things get missed in the gaps between them. BlueHill is the customer operations platform that brings all of it into one workspace. Teams use BlueHill to: * **Close cleanly:** manage prospects and pipeline, then send quotes, agreements, and pay links from a single deal room that turns into the first invoice * **Onboard with a plan:** start every customer from a proven onboarding template with tasks, forms, document collection, and sign-offs * **Give customers a branded portal** where they finish their own steps, upload files, and track tickets without emailing for updates * **Support and retain:** run a support inbox with AI summaries and SLAs, track follow-ups and account health, and see every email, call, note, and ticket on one customer timeline BlueHill is live on the web and iOS, with self-serve plans and a sales-led Enterprise tier. We're an independent company backed by **Y Combinator and General Catalyst**, and we're now building the go-to-market engine to match the product. We are looking for someone to build the systems that find the right customers, and turn signups into paying accounts. You'll own the go-to-market across both the self-serve funnel (from signup to conversion) and our sales-led enterprise pipeline. As a part of your role, you will run experiments to determine which channels deserve to scale, and then automate them. ### What you'll do * **Build and run outbound.** Own our cold email infrastructure and sequences (Apollo, sending domains, deliverability), write the messaging, and test segments, including competitive-displacement campaigns aimed at teams outgrowing tools like [Monday.com](http://Monday.com) or juggling a CRM, helpdesk, and project tool at once. * **Paid Acquisition.** Own our experiments across Apple Search Ads, Reddit, LinkedIn, and newer channels like ChatGPT ads. Measure rigorously and cut quickly. You will have the agency to spin up new acquisition channels and manage/allocate marketing spend. * **Improve the self-serve funnel.** Work on trial-to-paid conversion, pricing page experiments, and the handoff from product-led signups to sales conversations. * **Close deals.** Run discovery calls and demos, and bring Enterprise customers across the line yourself. Take what you learn straight back into product and messaging. * **Work closely with the founders** to build partner and referral channels through communities, associations, and consultants who already serve our target customers. * **Lay the foundation.** Set up the CRM, pipeline reporting, and playbooks that a future team will inherit. Naturally, you'll run it on BlueHill. ### You might be a fit if you * Have 3+ years in B2B SaaS GTM (sales, growth, or marketing), ideally including time as an early hire at a startup * Have personally built outbound prospecting from scratch—from identifying and researching target leads to warming prospects and creating outreach that gets replies. * Are comfortable selling: you can run a demo, handle objections, and ask for the close * Thrive in high ownership, fast-paced environments and enjoy solving complex problems **Bonus:** experience selling to customer success, onboarding, or support leaders; selling to nonprofits, agencies, or professional services firms; familiarity with PLG, free-trial funnels, or app-store acquisition; you've used tools like HubSpot, Zendesk, Monday, or Asana enough to have opinions about them. ### What we offer * Meaningful equity as a founding team member * Backing from Y Combinator and General Catalyst, with a long runway to build GTM properly instead of scrambling for quick wins * A shipped product with real customers across web and iOS, so you're selling something real from day one * A direct line to the founders and real influence over product direction and company strategy * Benefits: health, dental, vision, 401(k) Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
