Our research and innovation efforts within the division are well established and highly productive in several areas, including basic science, 3D modeling and virtual surgery, outcome and translational research.  We have multiple collaborations with the Divisions of Cardiology, Molecular Cardiovascular Biology, as well as a myriad of other divisions throughout CCHMC.  As one of the three integrated components of the Heart Institute [Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiology, & Molecular Cardiovascular Biology], a multidisciplinary business unit within Cincinnati Children’s, our division has enjoyed a highly esteemed profile internationally as an innovative leader in the management of pediatric and congenital cardiac patients.

The candidate will be able to reside where they desire but will need to be available within 72 hours to report to a partner site.

The surgeon will support the development and growth of the Heart Network with CCHMC while directly working with the Chief Cardiothoracic Surgeon at each Heart Network location. The assignments will vary in duration and notice period and may include vacation coverage, weekend and holiday on-call shifts, monthly shifts, coverage for several months, or an ongoing assignment. The duration of each assignment depends on the needs of the Heart Network Partner sites. Compensation will be commensurate for the time worked.
