Mission of the position

Do you enjoy digital transformation, consultative selling and opening new business in the industrial market?

At ABB, we are looking for a Digital Sales Manager to join the Motion division, in the Motion Service (MOSE) area, focused on growing the ABB Ability™ Powertrain portfolio in Brazil. You will lead sales of digital solutions that help customers improve the performance and reliability of their assets, such as motors, drives and generators.

You will serve existing customers, win new accounts and work with channels in segments such as Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power, Food & Beverage, Water and fast-growing sectors such as Data Centers. You will also be part of a global team, working with a portfolio that is expected to grow significantly in the coming years.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales of the ABB Ability™ Powertrain portfolio, serving existing customers, new accounts and channels, with direct customer contact.
• Lead active prospecting of new accounts through calls, emails and LinkedIn to build a steady, qualified pipeline.
• Run the full sales cycle: discovery, qualification, demos, proposals and closing.
• Create territory and account plans, with penetration strategies for target segments and global strategic accounts.
• Prepare sales forecasts, set targets and create recovery plans when results fall short of expectations.
• Build long-term relationships with customers, including C-level executives, understanding their needs and proposing solutions with measurable value.
• Work with local sales teams, Global Sales, Operations, Marketing, Customer Success, Portfolio Management and R&D to improve funnel performance.
• Coach account managers on selling digital solutions and define processes and tools for a disciplined sales approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Control and Automation or Computer Engineering.
• Solid experience in B2B sales of SaaS, cloud, digital solutions or IT/OT environments, with a track record of new business development.
• Experience with automation for motor, drive and generator monitoring systems.
• Experience with industrial customers, such as Data Centers, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power or other asset-intensive sectors.
• Track record in complex consultative sales, with pipeline management, forecasting and targets met or exceeded.
• Experience presenting to C-level executives and the ability to influence areas and teams without formal authority.
• Advanced English and Portuguese.
