Veeva Systems is a mission-driven organization and pioneer in industry cloud, helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. As one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in history, we surpassed $3B in revenue in our last fiscal year with extensive growth potential ahead.
At the heart of Veeva are our values: Do the Right Thing, Customer Success, Employee Success, and Speed. We're not just any public company – we made history in 2021 by becoming a
public benefit corporation (PBC), legally bound to balancing the interests of customers, employees, society, and investors.
As a
Work Anywhere company, we support your flexibility to work from home or in the office, so you can thrive in your ideal environment.
The Role
The ESBP role at Veeva is fiercely customer-centric—our "customers" being the internal managers and teams they lead. We call ourselves "Employee Success" (ES) because our focus is fundamentally different from traditional Human Resources. Modeling ourselves after high customer-service organizations like Starbucks and Disney, our core mission is Service Excellence. We view HR as an exercise in Operational Excellence rather than governance, with our true purpose being to enable, empower, and give energy to our internal partners so they can push the business of Veeva forward. We believe that Employee Success directly drives Customer Success.
Our Two Core Mandates
- Service Excellence & Trust: Build foundational credibility by delivering frictionless, high-quality support across core ES processes, helping managers drive excellence and create highly productive teams.
- Strategic Catalyst (The GM Mindset): Operate as a "business person who does ES." You will partner with business leaders, and you must think like a business leader yourself. Those who are successful in this role bring a General Manager's mindset to concepts like talent density and business velocity. Because Veeva managers own the employee lifecycle, your role is not to do the work for them, dictate how they manage the teams they lead, or define talent success on their behalf. Instead, you will empower manager independence, guiding them to drive their own solutions through critical thinking and autonomy. This stems from a deep understanding of the business. Your goal is to enable and advise leaders in aligning the right people to the right roles, building a performance culture that directly drives commercial outcomes.
