Hybrid
You are passionate about shaping enterprise-wide data modernisation so it is practical, scalable and adoptable.
We are a team of big thinkers, transforming how CBA produces, governs, manages and consumes data.
Together we can make Data Modernisation the default way of working across the Group.
Do work that matters:
Data Modernisation will only succeed if the platform, data products, governance, controls, tooling and operating model are designed in a way that business domains, support units, producers, consumers and central CDO teams can adopt and sustain.
As Executive Manager, Enterprise Engagement & Adoption, you will ensure Data Modernisation is both designed for the enterprise and adopted by the enterprise. You will work across all Data Modernisation streams to influence what we build, how we build it, how it is sequenced, how it lands and how it becomes the default way of working across CBA.
This role exists to ensure Data Modernisation does not become a technology rollout. It becomes an enterprise shift in how CBA produces, governs, manages and consumes data.
See yourself in our team:
Within CDO / Enterprise Data Transformation, you will bring a practical enterprise lens to decisions about platform capabilities, producer and consumer accountabilities, data product adoption, migration, controls, data literacy, tooling, operating model design and behavioural change.
You will represent the enterprise and customer perspective from the start, ensuring the approach is practical, scalable, valuable and adoptable across business units, support units, CDO teams and technology teams.
You will work across Platform, Data Production and Governance, Data Quality and Governance, Modernisation and Consumption, Execution and Early Adoption, and Acceleration to help the transformation land as one enterprise approach rather than a series of disconnected stream activities.
Your impact and contribution:
You will influence transformation design, own the enterprise engagement and adoption strategy, and mobilise senior stakeholders so Data Modernisation creates alignment, commitment and behaviour change across the Group.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
Bring strong internal CBA enterprise knowledge and practical data and technology literacy.
Have experience working across data, analytics, platform, technology, transformation or operating model change.
Understand data products, producer-consumer models, platform adoption, data governance, data quality, controls and consumption pathways.
Have shaped enterprise engagement and adoption strategies, with the ability to influence strategy and approach, not just support engagement activity.
Can influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams in complex, regulated enterprise environments.
Simplify technical and operating model complexity into practical decisions, actions and messages.
Are credible with data and technology teams, trusted by senior business stakeholders and comfortable working through ambiguity.
Can challenge constructively and lead alignment across competing priorities.
Bring strong executive communication, storytelling, structured problem solving and enterprise planning capability.
Understand risk, governance and controls, and can embed operating model change through adoption measurement and behavioural change leadership.
Are motivated by enterprise and customer-led outcomes, product-led operating model thinking, and helping producers and consumers adopt new ways of working.
What success looks like:
The enterprise and customer perspective is embedded in the design of Data Modernisation from the start.
Platform, capability, operating model and adoption decisions are shaped around enterprise outcomes and practical adoption.
Data Modernisation has one clear, credible and consistent enterprise narrative.
Engagement is coordinated, sequenced and connected to decisions and action.
Leaders are equipped to sponsor and reinforce the transformation.
Adoption risks are identified early and influence design, sequencing and intervention decisions.
Engagement activity leads to commitment, decisions and behaviour change.
Data Modernisation is recognised as an enterprise shift in accountability, not a technology rollout.
About you:
You will not wait for decisions to be made and then translate them for stakeholders. You will be in the room shaping the decisions, challenging whether the approach will work in practice, and then helping leaders and teams understand, commit to and adopt the change.
