Essential Responsibilities:
Perform design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Substation Automation, Protection & Control (P&C) systems;
Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities for automation and protection solutions;
Configure and validate RTUs, gateways, HMI applications, industrial networks, and communication protocols according to project requirements;
Analyze system disturbances, protection events, time synchronization systems, and fault records to ensure operational reliability and performance;
Provide technical support to customers and project teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field;
Solid understanding of electrical substation processes, equipment, instrumentation, and protection systems for transformers and generators;
Knowledge of substation automation architectures, industrial communication networks, and electrical industry communication protocols;
Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal, to support daily interaction with overseas factories and GE Vernova global engineering teams;
Spanish language skills are a plus;
Availability for frequent domestic and international travel to support project execution, commissioning, and customer activities.
