Medplum is building the developer platform for healthcare.
Healthcare organizations, digital health startups, AI companies, laboratories, payers, and providers use Medplum to build modern healthcare applications on open standards. Our customers are technical teams solving difficult problems in one of the world's largest industries.
We're looking for our first Account Executive.
This is a rare opportunity to join a company with strong product momentum and help shape how we bring it to market. You'll work directly with our founders, own customer relationships from first conversation through close, and help build the commercial playbook that future sales hires will follow.
If you're excited by ownership, enjoy working with technical customers, and want to help build something lasting, we'd love to talk.
## **What you'll do**
As Medplum's first Account Executive, you'll own the complete sales cycle and help define how we sell as a company.
You'll:
* Own discovery, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and close.
* Partner with founders on strategic opportunities while steadily becoming the primary commercial owner.
* Build relationships with engineering leaders, product teams, founders, CIOs, and healthcare executives.
* Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value.
* Answer customers security and compliance questions and fill out their questionnaires and RFIs
* Develop pipeline through a combination of inbound opportunities and thoughtful outbound prospecting.
* Improve our messaging, sales process, pricing conversations, and customer feedback loops.
* Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity management in Salesforce.
* Represent the voice of the customer across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.
This is not simply a quota-carrying role. You'll have a meaningful hand in shaping Medplum's go-to-market strategy as we grow.
## **What success looks like**
Within your first few months, you'll be independently running customer conversations and closing opportunities.
Within your first year, you'll have become a trusted advisor to customers, a key partner to the founders, and the person who helps define what great sales looks like at Medplum.
Success here isn't just measured by revenue. It's measured by building a sales organization that customers genuinely enjoy working with.
## **We're looking for someone who...**
* Has experience selling technical software, infrastructure, or developer products.
* Enjoys learning complex technology and explaining it clearly.
* Can build trust with both engineers and executives.
* Takes ownership rather than waiting for permission.
* Writes and communicates exceptionally well.
* Is organized, disciplined, and thoughtful about pipeline management.
* Wants to build, not just operate.
Healthcare experience is helpful, but it's not required. Curiosity, judgment, and the ability to learn quickly matter more.
## **Why Medplum?**
Most software still runs on infrastructure built decades ago. Healthcare is only beginning that transformation.
We're building the modern platform developers use to create the next generation of healthcare software. It's a large market with enormous technical complexity, which is exactly the kind of problem we enjoy solving.
Our culture is collaborative, highly technical, and deeply customer-focused. We care about building excellent software, earning customer trust, and continually improving our craft.
For the right Account Executive, this is an opportunity to join early, work alongside experienced founders, influence company strategy, and grow with the business.
## **Compensation**
We offer competitive base salary, uncapped commission, and meaningful equity.
Exceptional performance should be rewarded exceptionally well.
