Lead Value Engineer

The Team:
As Lead Value Engineer in the Value Advisory Team, you help to equip our VE Field teams with the resources to more successfully sell and realize value. You will lead our efforts to: 

• Establish the standardized path to customer success by creating the repeatable blueprint for ROI, stickiness & adoption
• Shape the platform by closing the product-to-field feedback loop and driving the adoption of new capabilities at scale
• Innovate & Scale by turning proven success into embedded systems, enabling go-to-market with repeatable motions
• Provide targeted value advisory for our most strategic deals and deployments. 

The Role:
As Lead Value Engineer in the Value Advisory team, you are going to be the driving force to achieve VE priorities: Business Critical, Adoption, AI, and Empowerment. 

In your capacity as Value Advisor, you are acting as a proactive thinker and problem solver who identifies next best actions and proactively suggests new approaches - such as Business Critical Motion, Discover &Build Methodology or AI Agents.

You are an important interface between different functions in our GTM organization including VE leaders & managers as well as with Product & Engineering in order to source best practices and identify gaps along our value journey to continuously improve our approach. 

You are leading strategic initiatives & cross-functional projects to improve VE metrics.

The work you’ll do:

• You lead high-impact projects to architect next-generation AI Agents, autonomous frameworks, and LLM-driven assets. Your goal is to fundamentally revolutionize VE key activities (Pre-sales, value realization, adoption), enabling Value Engineers to win new customers and unlock unprecedented business value.
• You are co-creating new product functionality based on your value-driven mindset
• You make significant contributions to the GTM strategy and motions (land, expand, renew) by continuously improving our end-to-end value journey and partnering with P&E, Industry Team and Business Apps 
• You are a sparring partner to fellow Celonauts from the VE team as well as other organizations 
• You leverage your extensive network across Celonis and the ecosystem to achieve the team’s objectives

The qualifications you need:

• Ability to Drive Scalability/Systematize Best Practices globally: You should be excited to identify, document, and implement best practices within the organization and scale them across the VE organization globally. You should demonstrate a deep understanding of effective processes, tools, and methodologies in order to streamline operations, identify areas for improvement, and to establish standardized procedures that can be replicated across different teams.
• Innovation & Tech-Forward Mindset: A strong appetite for emerging technology and a passion for staying ahead of the curve. You are actively exploring the latest advancements in AI agents and related platforms (e.g., Claude, Auctor) to drive innovation on a high-performing, cutting-edge team.

• Technical Expertise: you should possess hard skills related to the Celonis Platform (e.g.  PQL) paired with common skills related to software development & deployment such as SQL or programming skills like R, Python or Java. Technical expertise can also be related to managing complex Excel/Google sheets, and setting up Action Flows for automations. 
• Value Proposition of Celonis Product: you should possess in-depth knowledge of the Celonis platform, processes, and key assets. You should actively seek opportunities to expand your knowledge and expertise, allowing you to provide valuable insights, guidance, and support to your colleagues in the field.
• Value Selling & Realization Skills: you should successfully understand the customer's needs, aligning Celonis products and/or services with those needs, and effectively communicate the value proposition to drive customer success and satisfaction. These skills typically include active listening, solution positioning, objection handling, value identification, framing, realization & tracking. 
• Stakeholder & Program Management: You should successfully roll-out and drive adoption of new assets and processes supported by strong project management skills, including planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement. You should be able to navigate complexities and overcome challenges to ensure successful adoption across the teams. 
• Industry Expertise is a Plus: Ideally expertise in one or more industries (e.g. Manufacturing, Automotive, Consumer, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals) and the ability to develop a deep understanding of industry trends and strategic opportunities   

Degree: In Technology & Management, Industrial/Business Engineering, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or a comparable degree program
