By joining us you’ll be solving challenging problems within a talented team and a culture built for high performance. Our team out-think, out-work and out-care. Halter is the world’s leading provider of virtual fencing technology, on a mission to make 50% of the world’s land more productive and sustainable. We are building a world-first operating system that is transforming how farmers manage their land and animals. It is ambitious technology - but it only matters if it lands perfectly in the real world.
That is where the Logistics Specialist role comes in.
Every week, new farmers are joining Halter, chomping at the bit to receive their hardware and get started on the journey. Collars, towers, and accessories need to be packed, freight coordinated, and delivered on a rapid timeline. When a deployment runs well, it feels seamless. When it doesn’t, everyone feels it. We are looking for someone to come in and run our dispatch process like a clinic.
You will own the end-to-end flow of hardware going out to new customers. Think of yourself as the air traffic controller of our dispatch operation - directing traffic, clearing bottlenecks, spotting risks early, and keeping everything moving at pace. This role sits at the centre of operations. You will be the person who sees what is happening in real time and makes sure momentum never drops.
Coordinate and dispatch new hardware orders to producers across Argentina, Uruguay and the wider region
Work closely with our freight, customs and warehousing partners, holding them accountable to speed and quality
Manage timelines, track shipments, and proactively solve delivery issues
Keep our internal teams in South America and Auckland HQ aligned and informed
Dive into the details when something doesn’t look right
Continuously improve the dispatch process so it scales cleanly
Do whatever else it takes to make Halter succeed in South America - this is an early-stage market entry
We’re casting the net wide. Whether you’re early in your career or have years of logistics experience, we want to hear from you. We’ll match the level to your experience.
Naturally take ownership (you don’t wait to be told something is stuck)
Like running a tight ship and take pride in operational excellence
Can zoom into the detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
Are confident holding partners accountable
Stay calm under pressure and enjoy high-tempo environments
See problems as puzzles, not blockers
Are comfortable with ambiguity - this is an early-stage market entry and things will be imperfect
Speak fluent Spanish and English. English proficiency is a requirement for this role. The recruitment process will include interviews conducted in English, and a significant part of the day-to-day work will also be conducted in English. Candidates should feel comfortable communicating, participating in professional conversations, and working effectively in English. If you are not comfortable having professional conversations in English, this role may not be the right fit for you.
Experience with imports, customs brokers or product approvals in Argentina or Uruguay.
Experience in a startup, scale-up or agricultural technology business.
Knowledge of cattle production or rural South America.
Standards, speed, and getting it right for farmers matter deeply here. When deployment is sharp, disciplined, and thoughtful, everything downstream works better - from customer experience to cash flow to global expansion. If you are excited by the idea of building an operational engine that can scale globally - and being the person at the centre of making it world-class - we would love to hear from you!
There is real scope for this role to grow. As complexity increases, this could evolve into broader ownership across logistics, supply chain optimisation, international freight, inventory strategy, or operational leadership. If you’re ambitious, this is a front-row seat to building something that scales worldwide. This isn’t just about dispatching hardware - it is about building the engine that powers Halter’s global expansion. You will be directly involved in shaping and strengthening a world-class supply chain from the ground up.
You won’t just execute a process - you’ll help design the future state. Maybe you have worked in logistics, supply chain, operations, warehousing, dispatch, or manufacturing. Maybe you have been the person who quietly keeps everything moving behind the scenes. This isn’t a passive coordination role. We are looking for someone with hunger.
There’s a reason you visit your friends in person, live with your family and don’t do dinners over Zoom. Humans are wired for connection. We believe a world-class, in-person office culture is the best way for high-performing teams.
Being office first is a core pillar of our culture. We believe in-person connections are key to driving your own growth, learning, impact, and building genuine long-lasting relationships. Strong relationships make it easier to disagree, give feedback, and do meaningful and aligned work. We don’t like having heaps of rules or policies, but this means having strong, trusted relationships is critical.
We’re office first, not office only. This means working from the office everyday is our default setting, but we flex when we need to. We have a high-trust culture, so everyone is trusted to do what’s best for Halter.
Our office vibe is something special, it’s hard to describe until you’re here, but people at Halter who have come from fully remote or hybrid companies say they could never go back - the high energy and spectacular people they are now surrounded by everyday makes work so enjoyable. Your growth, your learning and your impact is truly unlimited here, and a big part of that comes from being together solving problems, innovating, building context, and constantly learning from each other.
