Manager-Security Access & Facilities Ops
Reporting to the Assistant Director for Facilities Operations. The Manager for Security Access and Facility Operations will serve as the primary point of contact for all Residential Life physical security programs throughout all 3.2 million square feet of housing as well as the physical installation and management of electronic access and supports. the operational effectiveness of Housing Facilities through coordination of customer service responses, management of safety and security access processes, student maintenance requests, and oversight of purchasing and administrative functions. As the primary leader in security, the Manger will work closely with the in-house Locksmiths and IT team to manage the workload, prioritize requests, audit, and preventative maintenance using multiple programs to manage the confidential information pertaining to student data and physical security. In addition, this position will be over the student support help that will lead documenting physical hardware, key audits, physical handling/distribution, as well as customer service support in the CMMS programs working collaboratively with facilities staff, campus partners, and external vendors to ensure efficient operational support, compliance with university procurement procedures, and the effective implementation of security and access control measures across the residential housing portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
50% – Security Management: Manage various forms of security hardware, including key and card entry locks protecting facilities, property, supplies; assists in maintaining a 250+-IP base camera security system located throughout departmental facilities documenting and helping manage the budget for all necessary supplies and purchases. The position is the primary position in maintaining the proprietary keying system as well as assisting in the electronic hardware and access control. Daily is responsible for processing over average 20 lock changes daily in accordance with key control procedures and lock change requests. Manager of the department’s electronic key boxes and inventory system as the point of contact of permissions for individuals based on security clearance. Will maintain official data and reports to keep management and partners aware of issues and safety concerns.
35% – Operations Management: Supports dispatch with calls for maintenance requests, answering incoming emergency & customer concerns/ requests, and the assignment of work orders. Makes decisions and gives instructions to custodial staff, maintenance staff, or off-campus vendors concerning maintenance issues/problems and is required to follow-up to ensure completion. Help maintain requests and database for the Computer Maintenance Management System. Assists in the management of student staff. Works to establish a strong after-hours customer service program using student staff. This position will act as support staff on the front line of responding to students, parents, vendors, and university staff for maintenance concerns and management. Participates in training of staff throughout the department in security matters for Housing.
10% – Procurement: Main contact for the procurement of supplies, services & equipment through university purchasing systems and State procedures. Backup for Custodial supply purchases and receivables. Assist in managing university contracts for these items, services and equipment for security systems in place. Maintain records for all transactions through the departmental CMMS and university database. Assist in the management of all fleet and GPS equipment. Works closely with accounting and staff to maintain procured items. Will maintain any departmental contracts as it relates to security, tracking contract documents, costs, and recording data to track work.
5% – Other Duties as Assigned: Other duties as assigned by the Director of Housing- Facilities. This includes but is not limited to efforts that support broad division and / or institution efforts including at least 40 hours per year spent helping divisional initiatives such as Move-In Day, Welcome Weekend, Career Expo, Disability Services finals Testing, other special projects, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
3 years experience

Emergency Essential Personnel - This position may be required to report to campus in times of emergency and/or closure per PS-18.
