Job Description:

What It Means to Be a Consultant at Crowe

Consulting is a dynamic business focused on solving problems for our clients and serving our core markets through innovative solutions. As technology and AI continue to reshape the consulting landscape, we are looking for individuals who are curious, adaptable, and eager to learn. At Crowe, consultants are expected to build both technical and transferable skills, think critically, and use technology to solve real business problems. In this role, you will continuously learn, collaborate across teams, and explore how tools, including emerging AI capabilities, can improve efficiency, insights, and client outcomes.

As you grow, you’ll also begin to take ownership of client relationships, contribute to account strategy, and support the delivery of high-impact work. Developing a sense of account leadership, including understanding client needs, ensuring delivery excellence, and building trusted partnerships, is part of what sets successful consultants apart.

Success in this role comes from a growth mindset, strong communication skills, advanced critical thinking, and the ability to navigate new challenges with confidence.

About the role

Crowe's Microsoft AI Business Solutions practice is expanding, and we're seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Consultant to lead our growing post-go-live optimization and continuous improvement offering. Rather than standing up new D365 SCM implementations, you'll partner with clients who are already live on D365 SCM — closing the gap between what the platform can do and what it's actually delivering across inventory, procurement, warehouse, and planning operations today.

This role is ideal for an experienced D365 SCM professional who thrives in a client-facing environment and is passionate about turning an existing investment into ongoing, measurable supply chain value. If you want meaningful impact, autonomy, and a clear path to practice leadership — built around making an existing investment work harder rather than chasing the next big-bang go-live — this is a strategic career opportunity, not just another consulting role.

What You Will Lead and Influence

• Assess live D365 Supply Chain Management environments — Inventory Management, Procurement and Sourcing, Sales and Marketing, Product Information Management, and Warehouse Management — to identify underused capability, configuration drift, and gaps between designed process and actual usage.
• Optimize advanced SCM capabilities already in production, including Master Planning, Asset Management, Transportation Management, and Quality Management, to close performance and adoption gaps.
• Advise clients on supply chain process improvements — inventory optimization, demand planning, procurement, and warehouse efficiencies — with a focus on realizing more tangible value from what's already implemented.
• Gather and analyze ongoing business pain points and translate them into a prioritized enhancement roadmap, functional designs, and system configuration changes.
• Distinguish "fix it" issues from "improve it" opportunities, and route each to the right team and cadence.
• Identify opportunities to apply agentic AI and Copilot-driven automation to supply chain processes — reducing manual effort and freeing supply chain teams for higher-value work.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and grow the practice's optimization and managed services offering.
• Contribute to Crowe's optimization methodologies, accelerators, and best practices; mentor team members; and help grow our post-go-live offering.

What Makes Crowe a Strong Career Move

• Predictable, sustainable rhythm — remote-first engagements with periodic on-site visits, without the travel load and crunch cycles of full-lifecycle implementations.
• Deep, ongoing client relationships instead of a new logo and a new team every six months.
• High-impact work owning the phase after go-live, when the real value gets created or lost.
• A growing optimization practice you can help shape, backed by a nationally recognized brand.
• Clear advancement into Solution Architect, Industry Lead, or Practice Leadership.
• Genuine investment in your development: certifications, training, conferences, thought leadership.

Experience That Makes You Successful (Must-Have)

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of hands-on D365 Supply Chain Management experience, including meaningful time supporting or optimizing live production environments — not solely net-new implementations.
• Proven track record identifying and closing the gap between a system's designed capability and how it's actually being used — root-causing adoption issues, not just resolving tickets.
• Strong experience with core D365 SCM modules, including Inventory Management, Procurement and Sourcing, Sales and Marketing, and Warehouse Management, and how they perform under real-world production conditions.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory, manufacturing, distribution, and logistics.
• Ability to lead enhancement and optimization roadmaps, translate business pain points into scoped, sequenced improvements, and guide teams through execution.
• Excellent communication skills with experience engaging C-suite and director-level stakeholders — including the harder conversation of explaining why "just add a feature" isn't always the right fix.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a rolling backlog, produce high-quality work products, and lead engagements with minimal oversight.

Preferred

• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate; APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or other asset-driven industries.
• Experience with advanced SCM modules such as Master Planning, Production Control, Asset Management, Transportation Management, or Quality Management.
• Experience with complementary ISV solutions within the D365 ecosystem, including how they're affected by platform updates over time.
• Experience designing or implementing agentic AI or Copilot-based workflows for finance or back-office processes.
• Prior consulting experience within a professional services environment, ideally including managed services, AMS, or post-go-live support.
