POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Internal Audit and Financial Advisory consultants work with Protiviti’s clients, who are typically among the world’s leading companies.  As a consultant, you collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions to the complex business problems these organizations face.  Experience tells us that our future leaders need to be both knowledgeable and demonstrate depth in an area of expertise, while also being versatile, having a broad range of capabilities and skill sets to solve today’s complex business problems. That’s why we focus on developing consultants across our business, so you gain experience in different industries, grow your technical and professional capabilities, and gain leadership qualities that will ensure your future success.

Consultants are encouraged to contribute ideas, learn through real work, and collaborate closely with others. Our people invest in one another, coaching, guiding, and supporting each team member to grow and perform at their best.

When you join our team, you will participate in Passport to Protiviti, our award-winning onboarding program.  You will also attend The Consulting Challenge, an experiential learning course that will help you build confidence and create connections that will help you transition successfully into your role as a consultant.  As a consultant, you will be part of Foundations, Protiviti's innovative approach that equips our consultants with the knowledge, skills, technical aptitude, and coaching to become our firm's future leaders.

This Foundations experience will enable you to learn from diverse project experiences while guiding your skill development, preparing you for the next step in your career journey.

Internal Audit and Financial Advisory consultants will experience a variety of projects.  Each project experience is designed to fuel your curiosity, build capability, drive real outcomes, and prepare you for the next career level. Consultants learn alongside experienced leaders and advisors to develop a strong understanding of business processes, regulatory environments, and risk/control frameworks, as well as to build fluency in AI-enabled analysis, data interrogation, and audit methodology.  Consultants assess risks, analyze data, document observations, and communicate insights that contribute meaningfully to client engagements.  Through interactions with client and project team personnel, consultants build professional relationships grounded in trust, which support exceptional client service.  A successful consultant manages time and priorities effectively, takes ownership of assignments, and contributes meaningfully to team outcomes.

With each project, you receive hands-on training in a supportive, high-performance environment and interact with leaders across our practice.  Talent Managers will assign specific project experiences that support career growth, your skills, and the needs of the business. A network of advisors will help you navigate challenges and celebrate milestones.  There are opportunities to join committees, participate in employee network groups, and enjoy social, civic, and networking activities to strengthen connections and build meaningful relationships across our firm and in the community.

Internal Audit and Financial Advisory consultants are hired into one of two areas, including:

• Business Process Audit and Advisory: Helps companies become more innovative by exploring their business processes, identifying and mitigating emerging risks, developing creative solutions to complex business challenges, and encouraging best practices to enhance business functions.
