- We are seeking a highly skilled Application Packaging SME responsible for packaging, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management of enterprise applications across Windows environments. The role focuses on delivering reliable, standardized, and secure application packages while supporting L2/L3 escalations and ensuring seamless end-user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Tier 2/3 escalations for application packaging, deployment, and installation failures;
- Design, create, and maintain application packages using tools such as SCCM, Intune, AdminStudio, and InstallShield;
- Perform application repackaging (MSI, MSIX, App
- V) and customization based on enterprise standards;
- Conduct application compatibility testing across OS versions and environments;
- Manage application deployment via SCCM/Intune, including collections, policies, and scheduling;
- Troubleshoot application installation, dependency, and configuration issues;
- Ensure application security compliance including patching, vulnerability remediation, and least privilege execution;
- Maintain packaging standards, naming conventions, and documentation;
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and endpoint teams for deployment readiness;
- Support patch management and application lifecycle updates;
- Develop automation scripts (PowerShell) for packaging and deployment tasks;
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles;
- Mentor junior team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in application packaging and deployment;
- Strong expertise in SCCM (MECM), Microsoft Intune, and endpoint management;
- Hands-on experience with MSI/MSIX packaging, App
- V virtualization;
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell;
- Experience with AdminStudio, InstallShield or equivalent packaging tools;
- Knowledge of Windows OS internals, registry, file system, and services;
- Understanding of application dependencies and compatibility testing;
- Experience with patching, updates, and software distribution;
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills;
Professional Experience:
- End-to-end incident and problem management with RCA;
- On-call support for critical application deployment issues;
- Continuous improvement of packaging and deployment processes;
- Strong ITIL process adherence;
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant certifications preferred.
Additional Information:
Strong communication skills; ability to work in shifts; willingness to work in on-site support environments.
