Partnerships Lead - Alexandria

# **Partnerships Lead - Alexandria** Firecrawl is looking for a builder-shaped partnerships lead to grow the provider network behind Alexandria, the knowledge library we launched last week alongside our $75M Series B. Alexandria gives AI agents one way to discover sources, see what they hold, and retrieve from them: official data providers, publishers, research and government indexes, and the live web. The people who supply that knowledge get paid based on agent demand. Your job is to make that network the deepest, most trusted set of sources any agent can reach. This is not a channel-partnerships or reseller seat. You'll find the providers agents need, get them to yes, structure the deal, and carry them through to a live catalog listing that agents actually call. You'll spend as much time inside our docs, MCP, and catalog as you do on calls.   **Salary Range:** $220,000–$249,000 USD/year **Equity Range:** Competitive equity. Details shared during the process. **Location:** **Location:** San Francisco, CA (SF HQ). Hybrid, onsite 3+ days a week. **Job Type:** Full-Time **Experience:** 6+ years **Work Authorization:** Must be authorized to work in the United States. We're not able to sponsor US visas right now, though that may change down the line. # **About Firecrawl** Firecrawl is the easiest way to turn the web into data AI agents can use. One API call converts any URL into clean, LLM-ready markdown or structured data. It's the boring-hard problem everyone building with LLMs eventually hits, solved. In September 2026 we raised a $75M Series B led by Smash Capital, and we're spending it building the largest repository of knowledge in the world. We hit 8 figures in ARR in year one and more than doubled it in year two. We have 183k+ GitHub stars, putting us in the top 50 repositories of all time, and developers, agents, and category-defining AI companies build on us every day. Growth like this is rare, and we're just getting started. We're a small team punching far above our weight, working out of SF HQ and our new Toronto Hub. Everyone here owns a real piece of the product and company, end to end, and runs it themselves. No hiding behind process or headcount. This is a place for people who want to work at the frontier: an AI company building the infrastructure other AI companies run on, not one bolting AI onto an existing product. We move fast, go deep, and are building the tools superintelligence will rely on to gather data from the web. That library is called Alexandria, and it starts now. # **What You'll Do** - Own the provider pipeline end to end: map the sources agents need by category (finance, government, research, code, commerce, real estate, and whatever's next), prioritize by agent demand, and go get them - Source, pitch, and close data providers, publishers, research organizations, and first-party sources, from cold outreach to signed agreement - Structure the deals: licensing terms, pricing per call, revenue share, attribution, and usage rights, working with our legal team on paper without waiting on them to move - Carry every signed provider through onboarding to a live catalog listing, working with the Alexandria engineering team on inputs, response shape, pricing, and terms acceptance - Build the playbook for the self-serve contributor program so individuals and organizations can join without a call - Feed what providers say back into the product: which capabilities agents want, where the catalog has gaps, and what makes a source worth paying for - Track the data-licensing and agent-tooling market closely enough to know where the next hundred sources come from # **What We're Looking For** - 6+ years in partnerships, business development, or content and data licensing, with deals you personally sourced, negotiated, and signed - Experience on at least one side of a data, content, or API marketplace: licensing data in, distributing it out, or building the supply side of a two-sided network - Technical enough to read API docs, run our MCP, inspect a provider's endpoints, and explain to an engineer why a listing is wrong - You write terms, not just relationships: comfortable drafting first-pass commercial terms and knowing which points to fight for - A pipeline operator: you run outreach at volume, keep a real CRM, and can show the numbers on what converted and what didn't - AI-native in how you work. Agents and coding tools are part of your daily toolkit, not something you've read about - High agency. You can build a function from zero in a market that doesn't have a playbook yet - Often an ex-founder, early BD hire at a devtools or data company, or someone who built a marketplace's supply side from scratch # **What We're NOT Looking For** - Channel, reseller, or alliance managers from enterprise SaaS. This is supply-side deal work, not co-marketing - Relationship-only BD who can't open a terminal or read an API reference - Someone who needs legal to write every term before they can talk price - Corp dev or M&A profiles. We're signing hundreds of providers, not acquiring one - Someone who has only managed inbound partners and never built a pipeline cold - Someone excited by AI in theory who hasn't actually used agents to do their job # **A Note On Pace** We operate at an absurd level of urgency because the window for what we're building won't stay open forever. If that excites you, keep reading. If it doesn't, no hard feelings, but this role probably isn't for you. # **Benefits & Perks** ## Available to all employees - **Salary that makes sense:** $220,000–$249,000 USD/year, adjusted fairly for location, based on impact, not tenure - **Own a piece:** Gain competitive equity in what you're helping build - **Generous PTO:** 15 days mandatory, anything after 24 days, just ask (holidays excluded). Take the time you need to recharge - **Parental leave:** 12 weeks fully paid, for all parents - **Wellness stipend:** $100 USD/month for the gym, therapy, massages, or whatever keeps you human - **Learning & Development:** Expense up to $1,000 USD/year toward anything that helps you grow professionally - **Team offsites:** A change of scenery, minus the trust falls - **Sabbatical:** 3 paid months off after 4 years, do something fun and new ## Available to US-based full-time employees - **Full coverage, no red tape:** Medical, dental, and vision (100% for employees, 50% for partner and kids). No weird loopholes, just care that works - **Life & Disability insurance:** Employer-paid basic life and AD&D, short-term disability, and long-term disability. Coverage for life's curveballs - **Virtual care and a health guide:** Teladoc for the couch doctor visit, plus Rightway to answer coverage questions and fight billing errors for you - **Mental health:** Talkspace, therapy and psychiatry on your schedule - **Fertility and family building:** Carrot, covering you and your partner - **EAP:** Free confidential counseling, legal and financial consults, and online will prep through Guardian - **401(k) plan:** Retirement might be a ways off, but future-you will thank you - **Pre-tax benefits:** HSA, FSA, and commuter benefits to help your wallet out a bit - **Supplemental options:** Extra life and AD&D, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, plus pet, legal, and identity protection through MetLife ## Available to SF-based employees - **SF HQ perks:** Snacks, drinks, team lunches, intense ping pong, and peak startup energy - **E-Bike transportation:** A loaner electric bike to get you around the city, on us # **Interview Process** **Application Review:** Send us your resume and two or three deals you personally sourced and closed, with what you owned in each. We care about what you've actually signed, not where you went to school. **Intro Chat (~25 min):** A quick conversation to get to know each other before we go deep. We'll talk about what you've been working on, what drew you to Firecrawl, and what you're looking for in your next role. Time for your questions too. **Partnerships Deep Dive (~45 min):** Walk us through a deal you built from cold outreach to signature, including the terms you fought for and the one you gave up. Then a live scenario: which providers would you go after first for Alexandria, and how would you get them to yes? We care how you reason and prioritize, not whether you know the "right" answer going in. **Founder Chat (~25 min):** Culture, pace, ownership, and how you like to work. Time for your questions too. **Paid Work Trial (~40 Hours):** Build a real target provider map, run real outreach, and bring at least one provider to terms with the team, paid at a contractor rate. It's the truest signal for both sides. You see what building at Firecrawl actually feels like, and we see how you operate. **Decision:** We move fast after the trial. If you want to build the library every AI agent reads from, one provider at a time, you should join us. 👉 Apply now. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
