At InnoCraft (trading as Matomo), we believe everyone has the right to data sovereignty, privacy and trusted analytics insights.
Born from open source and backed by a global community, Matomo helps organisations understand their users and digital performance without surrendering ownership, privacy or control of their data.

We are looking for a People & Talent Business Partner to help us build a high-performance culture, strengthen leadership capability and attract exceptional talent across our globally distributed organisation.
Reporting to our Chief People Officer, you will partner with leaders and employees globally, with a particular focus on Germany and France. You will help our people navigate change, build resilience and maintain high standards of performance as we continue to evolve and grow.
This is an opportunity to take real ownership, shape what comes next and see the global impact of your work.
We are on a mission to change how the world approaches digital analytics, and that requires exceptional people, strong leadership and a culture where performance and accountability matter.
We are also operating in a period of significant change. How we work, the capabilities we need and the expectations of our teams are evolving. We need someone who can help leaders navigate uncertainty, make difficult decisions, bring people through change and create an environment where high performance can thrive.
Your work will directly influence:
High-performance culture: Strengthening accountability, leadership capability and performance standards across our global teams.
Change and transformation: Helping leaders and employees navigate uncertainty, adapt quickly and remain focused on outcomes.
Talent and growth: Attracting, developing and retaining the people and capabilities needed to deliver our mission.
HR business partnering: Partner with leaders across Europe and globally, providing practical, commercially sound advice on people, performance and organisational matters.
Performance and culture: Drive strong performance management practices, support leaders in addressing underperformance and help embed a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
Leading through change: Support organisational transformation, consultation and employee transitions, helping leaders navigate difficult conversations and bring clarity during periods of uncertainty.
Employment relations: Manage employee relations and employment compliance, with strong ownership of German employment law and support for France and other regions through local specialists where required.
Talent acquisition: Lead end-to-end recruitment across the business, including proactive sourcing, assessment and hiring for critical roles, particularly across engineering and product.
People operations: Improve people processes, onboarding, employee experience and workforce planning to support a high-performing, globally distributed organisation.
6+ years of experience in HR business partnering, people operations or a similar role, ideally within a technology or international business.
Strong practical knowledge of German employment law is essential, including employee relations, performance management, organisational change and employment processes.
Proven experience supporting leaders through change, uncertainty, organisational transformation and challenging people decisions.
A strong understanding of high-performance cultures, with experience helping managers build accountability, address underperformance and develop their teams.
Hands-on talent acquisition experience, including direct sourcing and end-to-end recruitment.
Professional working proficiency in German and strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly in a global, asynchronous environment.
A strong record of taking ownership, exercising sound judgement and delivering measurable outcomes.
Knowledge of French employment law, French language skills and experience supporting employees in France.
Experience recruiting technical talent, particularly software engineers and product engineers.
Experience in SaaS, high-growth technology or globally distributed, remote-first organisations.
You may not match every item, but you should bring strong capability in the core requirements and a clear record of creating meaningful impact.
Matomo is for people who want their work to matter.
You will help build technology that protects data privacy, strengthens digital sovereignty and gives organisations a genuine alternative to surveillance-based platforms.
We are intentionally lean, globally distributed and backed by a worldwide open-source community. Important work is not buried under layers. You will have access to meaningful problems, the context behind decisions and the opportunity to influence what Matomo becomes next.
We value people who take ownership, exercise strong judgement and turn complex problems into clear, valuable outcomes. People who raise standards, challenge assumptions and care about the complete result, not only their part of it.
High performance at Matomo means choosing the work that matters most, moving it forward with urgency and leaving customers, colleagues and Matomo stronger because of your contribution.
You will have freedom over where and, within the needs of your role, when you work. In return, we expect clear communication, dependable follow-through and accountability for outcomes.
We also protect focused work through:
No-meeting Fridays
No more than two days each week with late meetings
No meetings after 10pm in any time zone
This is a place for people who want meaningful responsibility, visible impact and the opportunity to help build something globally significant.

Flexible working hours, within the collaboration and coverage requirements of the role
30 days Paid annual leave
Home-office equipment allowance
Health insurance support, where applicable
Mental-health and wellbeing support
Paid volunteering day
