PT Applications Engineer

We have a position available for a self-motivated and passionate Mechanical Power Transmission Application Engineer to join our team based in Wiri.

This role would ideally suit a graduate engineer or someone with experience in this field. You’ll never be bored in this job as projects are varied and we work with a wide range of businesses across all industrial sectors.

What will you do?

• Support our customers and sales teams through technical assistance for mechanical power transmission products  
• Design calculations and product recommendations for internal and external customers
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with our sales network
• Assist where required, with developing and maintaining relationships with our global network of suppliers
• Product assessments and reports for faults and failures
• Share your knowledge and learn from our very experienced team

Who are you? 

• Formal Technical Qualification - BEng (Mech) or NDE Mech
• Relevant industry experience with Mechanical Power Transmission products is favorable but not essential 
• Excellent written communication skills, including report writing and strong skills with MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Clear verbal communication skills, this role requires interacting with senior staff, sales staff, and customers directly and presentations to different stakeholders - a strong command of spoken English is essential 
• Practical hands-on experience and capabilities with mechanical components would be an advantage
• Current, valid Driver's license

In addition, you will need to be reliable, self-motivated, and task-driven and show good levels of initiative. A lot of this role requires you to think outside the box and interact with many different stakeholders.
