SALT Indirect Tax Senior Manager | SAP/Oracle ERP | Vertex Tax Engine Expert

The Opportunity

When you join PwC Acceleration Centers (ACs), you become part of a team delivering innovative tax technology solutions that support client engagements across global markets. You will work on complex projects that combine indirect tax, ERP platforms, and tax technologies to drive efficiency, compliance, and business value.

As part of the TAMS & ITO team, you will lead the delivery of indirect tax technology solutions, support ERP and tax engine integrations, manage client engagements, and mentor team members. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading technologies such as Oracle, SAP, Vertex, Avalara, ONESOURCE, and Sovos, while collaborating with Tax, Finance, Business, and Technology stakeholders to solve complex client challenges and drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of indirect tax technology solutions and client engagements.
• Manage ERP and tax engine implementations, configurations, and integrations.
• Coordinate testing activities across ERP systems and tax engines.
• Support root cause analysis of tax calculation issues in Oracle or SAP.
• Drive project management, stakeholder communication, and risk tracking.
• Identify process improvements, automation, and innovation opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and maintain delivery excellence.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 10–12 years of experience in Indirect Tax and Tax Technology.
• Experience with Oracle and/or SAP ERP.
• Experience with Vertex, Avalara, ONESOURCE, and/or Sovos.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
• Experience supporting ERP-tax engine integrations and testing.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Preferred Certifications

• Project Management Certification.
• Oracle or SAP Certification.
• Vertex, Avalara, ONESOURCE, or Sovos Certification.
