Why AstraZeneca:
AstraZeneca is a global, science-led, patient-focused biopharmaceutical company with a bold ambition: to eliminate cancer as a cause of death. Lung cancer sits at the center of that ambition, and our Immuno-Oncology portfolio is changing what patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) can expect across stages of disease.
This is an opportunity to join a team that puts patients first, follows the science, and turns practice-changing data into real-world impact for people living with resectable, unresectable, and metastatic NSCLC.

As Senior Associate Director, US Immuno-Oncology Marketing, NSCLC, this role will serve as the execution lead for our IO portfolio in lung cancer. This role will lead the end-to-end marketing execution across NSCLC indications, helping translate brand strategy into high-impact HCP programs that grow adoption, strengthen our competitive position, and help more patients benefit from IO. This role will be responsible for leading the cross-functional team, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering measurable results in one of oncology's most dynamic and competitive markets.
This role reports to the Head of Marketing, Lung, and is based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus, headquarters of the Oncology Business Unit.

- Sharpen competitive positioning: Track the rapidly evolving NSCLC landscape, including new data, approvals, and competitor activity, and keep messaging and tactics differentiated.
- Engage the multidisciplinary care team: Create programs that reach medical oncologists, thoracic surgeons, radiation oncologists, and pulmonologists to support timely, coordinated treatment decisions.
- Drive cross-functional alignment: Partner with Medical Affairs, Sales, Insights & Analytics, Market Access, and Training to ensure marketing strategies are aligned, coordinated, and effective.
- Bring in innovation: Identify, evaluate, and adopt new partnerships, technologies, and omnichannel approaches that improve customer engagement while identifying synergies across NSCLC indications and the broader IO portfolio to maximize impact and resource efficiency.
- Lead with integrity: Ensure all marketing practices meet AstraZeneca’s standards and industry regulations while pushing for innovative, high-impact approaches.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. Advanced degree (MBA or higher) preferred.
