At Clario, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, we're seeking a Senior Data Quality & Validation Engineer to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of critical clinical data platforms. This role is ideal for a data-focused quality professional with expertise in complex SQL, data warehouse testing, ETL validation, Power BI reporting, and Informatica-based data pipelines. You'll work closely with data engineering, business intelligence, and product teams to validate large-scale data solutions that support clinical research and help bring life-changing therapies to patients faster.

What You'll Be Doing
Lead testing and validation activities for data warehouse, ETL, reporting, and analytics solutions
Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for data integration and reporting platforms
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to validate data transformations, reconcile datasets, and investigate quality issues
Validate data movement across source systems, ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and reporting layers
Perform end-to-end testing of Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and business rule compliance
Test and validate data pipelines built using Informatica PowerCenter and related ETL technologies
Execute data warehouse testing across cloud and on-premise environments, including Snowflake and large-scale analytics platforms
Develop test plans, test cases, validation protocols, and supporting documentation in accordance with SDLC and regulatory requirements
Perform root cause analysis (RCA), risk assessments, and corrective actions (CAPA) to address data quality issues
Partner with Data Engineering, BI, Product, and Development teams to ensure high-quality data delivery
Validate complex business logic, data transformations, aggregations, and calculations used in reporting environments
Support automation initiatives using Python, SQL, and modern testing methodologies
Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of validation standards and processes
What We Look For
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related discipline
7-10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Data Testing, or Data Warehouse Testing
Advanced expertise in SQL, including complex joins, stored procedures, performance tuning, and data validation techniques
Proven experience testing Data Warehouse, ETL, Data Lake, and Business Intelligence solutions
Hands-on experience validating Power BI dashboards, reports, and underlying datasets
Strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter or comparable ETL platforms
Experience validating data within Snowflake or other enterprise data warehouse environments
Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, and data reconciliation methodologies
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence
Ability to analyse data discrepancies and independently drive issue resolution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience with Python is a plus
Experience in cloud-based data platforms and analytics environments
Test automation experience for data and reporting applications
Experience within clinical research, healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environments
Knowledge of FDA GxP regulations and 21 CFR Part 11
Experience with Big Data technologies and modern analytics architectures
