- Ensure all designs meet required engineering, manufacturability, and industry standards, addressing issues during the release phase.
- Accountable and responsible for protecting the quality of the final engineering products (released designs, CAD, Drawings, & PMI), ensuring the production team receives data that meets quality and usability standards.
- Check technical documentation (incl. drawings, PMI, BOM’s, DFMEA, specs, etc.) before being released into PLM, enforcing compliance to internal SOP and guidelines.
- Analyze drawings, models, and documentation for GD&T accuracy, completeness, manufacturability, assemble-ability and inspectability.
- Support active programs by creating and managing design engineering data, as requested by the IPT.
- Manage ongoing production NCR’s and dispositions, collaborating with ME’s and RE’s.
- Support the implementation of ECR/ECO’s for production parts, as required or needed.
