Senior Director, Treatment Center Onboarding

Position Overview:

The Senior Director, Treatment Center Onboarding will be responsible for driving the execution of Beam Therapeutics’ treatment center onboarding, activation, and ongoing site engagement to ensure operational readiness. This role will develop and implement scalable models and processes for site onboarding, treatment center certification, and institutional support to enable a smooth launch and sustained adoption of Beam therapies. This position will work cross-functionally with teams across Beam’s POD model — including Key Account Management, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Gene Therapy Operations, Quality, Marketing, Legal & Compliance and will report into the VP, Key Account Management.

Responsibilities:

Treatment Center Onboarding -

• Develop the operating model for site onboarding, activation, training, readiness, and ongoing support.
• Serve as the internal single point of accountability for treatment center onboarding status, risks, dependencies, and cross-functional decisions.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Medical Affairs, Quality, Supply Chain, IT, Patient Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure the capabilities, processes, materials, and approvals required for site activation are in place.
• Create clear governance, escalation pathways, and decision-making forums to accelerate onboarding while maintaining quality and compliance.

Onboarding Strategy -

• Partner with Key Account Management and Marketing to develop and lead the strategy, prioritization, and execution of commercial treatment center onboarding across the network.
• Lead and directly contribute to the creation and delivery of tools, resources, and training sessions to the cross-functional teams to ensure treatment centers have a successful onboarding and activation experience.
• Partner with Marketing and Key Account Management to develop and maintain a treatment center segmentation and prioritization model, incorporating treatment center feedback, data validation, and decision-making that drive activation strategies aligned with capacity, market opportunity, and readiness.
• Partner with Marketing and Key Account Management to build digital playbooks, workflows, and campaign assets that can be deployed to the cross functional account teams.
• Track account onboarding engagement through dashboards, creating reports, troubleshooting data issues, and adjusting initiatives based on direct monitoring of activity and adoption.
• Bridge national & regional POD teams by producing and maintaining shared reporting and insights, ensuring consistency while also tailoring dashboards to stakeholder needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration -

• Support commercial launch readiness by leading and directly contributing to cross-functional improvements, identifying scalability gaps, coordinating fixes, and personally driving tasks that accelerate readiness.
• Collaborate with internal partners to build out and execute treatment center Dry Run process flow for launch and post-launch activities, including both a full-scale Dry Run as well as a modified Dry Run process for optional use.
• Continuously improve CRM functionality for onboarding by collecting feedback, piloting enhancements, and implementing solutions that meet evolving business needs.
• Lead treatment center onboarding within cross-functional forums across Account Management, Gene Therapy Operations, Medical Affairs, Market Access and Quality.
• Actively test, troubleshoot, and resolve workflow and system issues, working directly with IT, operations, and field teams to fix gaps and ensure seamless execution for treatment centers.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS with at least 18 years of experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in site onboarding or related functions within biotech/pharma; hematology, sickle cell disease, or cell/gene therapy experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in designing and executing treatment center onboarding frameworks for complex therapies (e.g., gene therapy, CAR-T, allogeneic transplant, or advanced cell therapy programs), including certification, training, and operational readiness programs.
• Hands-on experience working with commercial operations, KAM, and marketing teams to align onboarding strategies with broader commercial objectives, messaging, and field execution.
• Strong commercial acumen and execution mindset; able to translate strategic goals into actionable and measurable plans.
• Excellent communication, project management, and engagement skills, with the ability to influence across internal teams.
• Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments requiring agility, problem-solving, and prioritization under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% to support site visits, conferences, and on-site activities including staff training and operational planning.
