As a Senior Manager / Director – Data & AI Governance, you will play a pivotal leadership role in defining PwC’s Data and AI governance vision, building market‑leading service offerings, and helping organisations navigate complex regulatory, ethical, and strategic challenges related to AI and data.
Our Data and AI team brings together experts across the end-to-end data and AI lifecycle – from strategy and governance to engineering, development, and industrial deployment. The team combines deep expertise in data platforms, AI and ML development, computer vision, and AI in industrial environments, working in a flat, collaborative setup with a strong international exposure across the Czech Republic and the wider CEE region.
Tomas as a Partner in PwC leads the whole Document Automation team and cooperates with 4 team managers to create and execute our strategy. Tomas is passionate about team vision and delivering high services to our internal and external clients. He enjoys all outdoor sport activities, in particular cycling and cross-country skiing.
As a senior leader within PwC’s Data and AI practice in the Czech Republic, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and scaling PwC’s Data and AI governance and risk capabilities. You will work closely with senior executives, boards, regulators, and internal PwC leadership across CEE and global markets, while leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will:
Define and clearly articulate the vision and strategic roadmap for Data and AI governance, risk and compliance services within PwC.
Build, evolve, and industrialise differentiated service offerings at the intersection of AI, data governance, technology and development.
Act as a trusted advisor to board members, C‑suite executives, and senior leadership across industries on AI strategy, governance, and risk‑informed decision‑making.
Lead large, complex, and high‑impact client engagements.
Drive innovation by identifying trends, developments, and technological shifts, and translating them into new propositions and thought leadership.
Lead, coach, and scale a high‑performing team of Data and AI governance professionals, fostering expertise, thought leadership, and career development.
Represent PwC externally through thought leadership, executive workshops, industry forums, and selected public engagements related to responsible and trustworthy AI.
Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in Data or AI governance, risk, technology strategy, or a closely related advisory or leadership role.
Proven ability to define and lead strategic initiatives, service portfolios, or practices in a professional services or large organisational environment.
Strong track record of engaging with senior executives, boards, and regulators on complex, high‑stakes topics related to AI, data, and digital transformation.
Commercial acumen and experience in business development, including shaping client demand, building long‑term relationships, and growing revenue.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate complex topics clearly and credibly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Professional fluency in English and Czech.
