The Senior Manager co-manages and optimizes an estimated $1M+ retail marketing budget, ensuring investments directly support account growth, line reviews, and commercial trade goals.
In addition to account-level ownership, this role serves as an advisory Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the broader retail marketing team on digital marketing tactics, retail media network (RMN) optimizations, influencer campaigns, and digital ad effectiveness reporting. The Sr. Manager presents shelf education, off-shelf display creations, and merchandising strategies during retail line reviews while coaching team members on digital campaign execution. Operating as an "Agent for Change," the Senior Manager manages 3P vendors and agency relationships related to their account work to elevate brand presence across physical shelves and digital commerce touchpoints.

Strategic Joint Business Planning (JBP) & Sales Partnership: Partner side-by-side with National Account Directors/Sales Leads to co-lead the marketing and promotional strategies within Joint Business Planning (JBP) sessions with retail buyers. Align marketing investments with account sales goals to secure valuable in-kind promotional support, premier shelf placement, and expanded distribution. Co-present during annual line reviews, bringing category insights, brand vision, and off-shelf merchandising strategies to the table.
Financial Stewardship & Trade Investment Alignment: Co-own, track, and optimize the $1M+ national account marketing budget in direct collaboration with National Account Sales Leads. Ensure retail media network spend, influencer collaborations, and promotional dollars are strategically deployed to maximize total trade ROAS/ROI and complement overall sales account strategies. Regularly review performance metrics with Sales leads to reallocate funds dynamically for peak commercial impact.
Advisory SME: Digital Ad Creation & Media Tactics: Serve as the team's advisory Subject Matter Expert (SME) on digital ad creation, retail media network (RMN) tactics, and digital execution. Consult with peer managers and specialists on digital content strategy, creative best practices, and optimizing digital budget spends. Ensure we have a content pipeline to serve the changing needs, especially on e-Commerce customers.
Advisory SME: Influencer & Social Collaborations: Lead and advise on influencer collaboration programs and Brand Champion partnerships across National Accounts (including 360 Pet Nutrition and Walmart programs). Serve as the team expert in structuring, negotiating, and executing influencer campaigns tied directly to retail sell-through.
Omni-Channel Content Optimization: Direct the refinement of digital and physical assets (Product Detail Pages (PDPs), web banners, display ads, Salsify content syndication, and digital delivery apps) to maximize retailer content health scores, search discoverability, and conversion.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & New Product Introductions: Partner with Brand, Agency, Product Development, and Corporate teams to coordinate national retail media campaigns and execute high-impact packaging transformations and product launches in your accounts. Leverage educational content, collaborate with social media teams and our brand champions to bring a personalized touch to our National Retail partners.
Leadership, Mentorship & Talent Development: Lead, guide, and mentor the retail marketing team, supervising assigned direct reports while coaching manager-level roles to scale their capabilities from tactical execution to data-driven strategic thinking.
