In this brand agnostic role, you won't just analyze the data; you will shape the commercial strategy that drives tangible top and bottom line growth across our most recognizable brands.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Lead Strategic Development & Implementation: Lead the creation and alignment of long-term pricing, pack, and promotional strategies to drive mutual, profitable growth for Mars, retail partners, and the category.
- Establish Guardrails: Establish clear pricing, promotion principles and trade investment guardrails to guide and empower effective execution by the sales team.
- Optimize Plans: Analyze and optimize retailer-specific pricing, pack architecture, and promotional plans to profitably maximize revenue growth and strategic effectiveness.
- Drive Actionable Insights: Analyze shopper, consumer, and macroeconomic trends to inform and adjust pricing and promotion strategies. Leverage analytical tools (e.g., RGM Navigator) and syndicated data to identify risks, uncover opportunities, and recommend corrective actions that protect and grow revenue.
- Champion Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with key internal teams, including Trade Strategy, Business Planning, Finance, and Sales, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of strategic revenue management objectives.
- Influence Stakeholders: Translate complex data and strategic recommendations into clear, concise presentations and reports that enable swift, informed decision-making and build commitment through influence with both internal teams and external retail partners.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in CPG revenue management, pricing, or a related analytical function.
- Deep understanding of financial concepts (e.g., price elasticity, trade rate, NSV, gross profit).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with syndicated scanner data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, Circana).
- Proven ability to translate complex data and analysis into actionable strategic insights.
- Demonstrated success in influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
- A strategic and independent thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to execute against key priorities.
What can you expect from Mars?
