Social Media Manager (TikTok Specialist)

Scopely is looking for a Social Media Manager (TikTok Specialist) to join our Pokémon GO! Team in Mexico City on a hybrid basis, working 3 days a week from the hub.

At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

What You Will Do

• Support the day-to-day planning and execution of content across Pokémon GO’s official social media channels, including copywriting, publishing, community engagement, performance tracking, and contributing to an energetic, authentic brand voice
• Generate a consistent pipeline of creative, timely, and executable social content ideas, with a strong emphasis on short-form video. Identify promising video formats, trends, hooks, and cultural moments, then translate them into content that feels authentic to Pokémon GO and its community
• Move quickly from idea to execution by independently developing, producing, and appearing in social video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging platforms while remaining aligned with brand standards
• Develop campaign, content, and video briefs that clearly communicate creative direction, messaging, format, and cultural relevance
• Monitor trends and emerging digital behaviors, particularly those influencing Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences
• Lead player engagement across official Pokémon GO social channels, building meaningful connections with players and contributing an energetic, authentic brand voice.
• Analyze social performance and player sentiment, using insights to improve content, engagement strategies, and future campaign planning.
• Leverage agentic AI tools to improve daily workflows, identify trends, and elevate reporting
• Independently manage multiple concurrent projects, reprioritizing and switching between assignments as business and cultural opportunities evolve. Operate with a high degree of ownership and minimal management oversight while maintaining strong communication and stakeholder alignment across global teams and asynchronous workflows

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience managing social media for a consumer brand
• Expert-level understanding of short-form video, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Experience independently creating social video content from concept through execution, and confidence appearing on camera as a regular part of the role
• Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to develop sharp, playful, timely, and culturally relevant social content. Strong understanding of Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences, emerging behaviors, fandom dynamics, internet culture, and platform ecosystems
• Capable of building and leveraging the latest AI tools to optimize your workflows
• Genuine enthusiasm for engaging directly with online communities and building relationships with fans and players
• A self-starter mentality, with demonstrated ability to manage a full workload and move rapidly between projects, priorities, and deadlines
• Ability to work independently, make sound creative decisions, and deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight
• Experience working with licensors or multiple brand stakeholders through creative review and approval processes
• Strong English language skills are required for this role as we have a highly diverse and global business
• Proficiency with social media management and listening tools such as Sprout Social, Sprinklr, or similar platforms
• Ability to remain adaptable, solutions-oriented, and effective in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and limited advance notice
• Experience collaborating effectively through meetings, written communication, and asynchronous workflows

Bonus Points

• Social media management experience within gaming, entertainment, technology, or youth culture
• Familiarity with Pokémon GO, the Pokémon franchise, mobile gaming, or gaming communities
