Senior AssociateJob Description & Summary
About the role
As a M&A Deals Consultant, you will work with leading corporate clients and investors, helping and supporting them tackle their toughest decisions. Your engagements will include a mix of corporate strategy (growth strategy, market entry, pricing, commercial excellence, product strategy) and transaction-related work (commercial due diligence and pre- and post-deal value creation). Your work will be varied, fast paced - no engagement is ever the same.
The Senior Associate role is focused on driving high quality delivery of key workstreams within an overall strategy project, reporting into the Project Manager or Engagement Leader. You are expected to be an independent critical thinker.
The role requires a mix of quantitative and qualitative skills, written and verbal presentation skills, an ability to collaborate with junior team members, and aligning expectations with senior team members.
What your days will look like:
In our Deals team, you’ll be joining a market-leading and fast-growing team that works with businesses, private equity and venture capital investors, supporting them across the Deal cycle, from pre-deal to post-deal value creation.
You will be working with clients across Technology, Media and Telecoms.
Conducting strategy consulting projects including but not limited to commercial diligence, growth strategy, target operating model, etc.
Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication, confidently engaging with senior business leaders.
This role is for you if
You have significant experience of strategic commercial consulting or a strategy role from within a large corporate TMT business or Private Equity firm (investment or operational role).
Experience providing professional services (either in a Deals or Consulting background) to TMT organisations.
Excellent quantitative and written skills, able to build analyses or an evidence base to support a position, often in situations with imperfect or incomplete information.
Curious and disciplined thinker who applies first-principles analysis to understand problems deeply and focus on underlying drivers (“the why”).
Comfortable under pressure and managing through ambiguity to deliver tasks in an environment where there are many unknowns.
Adaptable, and up for the challenge of mastering new industries and developing experience in a wide variety of product types with the capability or willingness to develop skills in data analytics e.g. Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau.
What you’ll receive from us
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
