Technical Product Manager, Labeling Tools

### **About Centaur:** Centaur AI is the modern data labeling solution driving AI innovation across the healthcare industry. From agile startups and cutting-edge research labs to global pharmaceutical giants and Big Tech, we empower the entire spectrum of AI. Our expert crowd of 100k+ labelers, combined with our gamified annotation platforms for motivation and quality control, ensures scalable, high-quality labels are delivered at scale. We are backed by leading investors including Y Combinator, Matrix, and Accel, and recently closed a Series B led by SignalFire. ### **Position Overview:** We are seeking an experienced **Technical Product Manager** to own the full labeling tools surface and expand what our platform can label. That surface spans medical imaging, unstructured text, multi-modal reports, and longitudinal medical data. The ideal candidate has a technical background strong enough to build, product judgment strong enough to prioritize, and the instinct to dig into whether a label is actually right, not just whether the tool captured it. ### **Responsibilities:** **Own the labeling tools roadmap** * Set direction for the full labeling tools surface: our medical imaging annotation tool, web labeling, and the tooling around both * Decide which task types and annotation capabilities we support next, what they unlock for customers, and what we say no to * Partner with commercial and operations teams to translate customer needs into tooling capability, rather than one-off fixes **Run the workstream** * Lead sprint planning and execution for labeling tools, including backlog grooming and release planning * Triage incoming issues across the surface, including urgent customer-driven work, and route or resolve them * Keep engineering unblocked by resolving ambiguity early and holding scope **Build** * Prototype new annotation workflows to test ideas before committing engineering time * Ship smaller features and fixes directly * Close the loop between what we learn from labelers and customers and what actually changes in the product * Use coding agents, LLM APIs, and MCP-based workflows to move faster, and spot manual workflows across labeling and tooling that an agent should be handling instead ### **Qualifications:** * Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on background. This is a hands-on role and you will spend real time in the codebase * 3+ years of experience owning a technical product surface, whether as a PM, TPM, or an engineer who moved toward product * Track record running sprints and triage for an engineering team * Fluency with AI tools in your daily work, with specific examples of what you have built with them * Comfort being the most technical person in a product conversation and the most product-minded person in a technical one * Bias toward talking to users. Our labelers are diverse and sophisticated, and our tasks can be very complex _Don't meet every requirement? At [Centaur.ai](http://Centaur.ai), we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace. So, if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't perfectly align with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might just be the right candidate for this or other roles!_ **Preferred Skills:** * Healthcare, medical imaging, or clinical workflow exposure. Annotation quality is hard to reason about without it. * Experience with medical imaging viewers or annotation tooling * Familiarity with data labeling operations or crowdsourced quality control * Experience shipping agent-based or LLM-powered features in production ### **Why join Centaur?** This is an excellent opportunity for a technical product professional to contribute to a growing company by taking ownership of the tooling that sits at the center of how we deliver high-quality labels.
