Remote only
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Recruiter based in United States .
We are looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter to lead high-impact engineering hiring for a remote-first technology organization building advanced infrastructure for decentralized applications. In this role, you will own full-cycle recruitment for challenging senior and staff-level engineering positions, particularly across backend systems, databases, cloud infrastructure, and developer tools. Working directly with engineering leaders and executive stakeholders, you will shape hiring strategies, identify exceptional talent, and build strong candidate pipelines beyond traditional recruiting channels. You will combine technical fluency, data-driven decision-making, and persuasive communication to attract engineers who may not be actively seeking new opportunities. This is an opportunity to influence hiring practices, strengthen the talent brand, and help build high-performing teams in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.
Own full-cycle recruitment for senior and staff-level technical positions, managing every stage from initial intake and sourcing through interviews, offer negotiation, and signed acceptance.
Partner closely with engineering leadership to define role requirements, establish success profiles, calibrate seniority levels, and challenge hiring criteria when needed.
Build proactive outbound sourcing pipelines across infrastructure, cloud computing, developer tools, databases, and data engineering, targeting candidates from both established technology companies and high-growth startups.
Identify high-potential engineers by assessing career trajectory, technical depth, problem-solving ability, and growth potential rather than relying solely on titles or years of experience.
Communicate complex engineering challenges in an engaging and accessible way, helping candidates understand the technical mission and opportunities without relying on cryptocurrency-related messaging.
Manage structured, efficient, and high-quality interview processes using Ashby, ensuring a positive candidate experience without compromising hiring standards.
Lead offer and closing strategies, coordinating with founders, investors, and other stakeholders when appropriate to secure strong candidates in competitive talent markets.
Strengthen employee referral programs by proactively activating internal networks and turning referrals into a consistent source of qualified candidates.
Manage recruitment agency relationships and determine when internal sourcing offers a more effective approach.
Monitor recruiting pipeline health, conversion rates, and stage-by-stage performance, using data to identify bottlenecks and improve hiring outcomes.
Contribute to employer branding through candidate outreach, relevant content, and participation in engineering events and conferences, including occasional travel.
In the first 90 days, take ownership of a priority database and performance engineering search, develop a strong understanding of the engineering organization, build independent sourcing pipelines, and evaluate the existing interview process and recruitment data.
At least five years of experience recruiting engineers, with a proven record of successfully hiring senior and staff-level talent in backend engineering, infrastructure, distributed systems, or related technical disciplines.
Strong sourcing skills and a proactive approach to identifying high-quality candidates who are not actively searching for new opportunities.
Technical fluency sufficient to discuss distributed systems, databases, infrastructure, and performance engineering credibly with technical candidates and hiring managers, without necessarily having a software development background.
Experience working in a startup or high-growth technology environment where speed, ownership, adaptability, and hiring quality are essential.
Confidence in challenging hiring managers constructively, aligning stakeholders, and making informed recommendations about candidate profiles and recruitment strategy.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and follow-through skills, with the ability to engage candidates and stakeholders at different levels.
A strong sense of ownership, practical problem-solving ability, and a focus on measurable hiring outcomes rather than activity alone.
Preferred qualifications: Experience recruiting for infrastructure, cloud, developer tools, or trading technology companies; an established network within Rust or systems engineering communities; and familiarity with Ashby or AI-assisted sourcing tools.
Competitive, market-leading compensation.
Meaningful equity incentives, providing an opportunity to participate in the organization’s growth.
Fully remote work and a flexible, distributed working environment.
Generous vacation allowance to support work-life balance.
Wellness budgets and resources to support personal well-being.
Learning and development support to encourage continuous professional growth.
Support for work-related travel and participation in relevant industry events.
Direct collaboration with engineering leadership and the opportunity to influence hiring strategy, recruitment processes, and organizational growth.
A high-ownership, collaborative team environment focused on technical excellence, innovation, and meaningful impact.
