Think Global, Work Local with Maersk Global Service Centre!
Are you ready to join an organization on an industry-defining journey?
Maersk are a global business with 100,000 employees across 130 countries and our Global Service Centres (GSC) are at the heart of our operations. Our GSC sites are already established across 12 locations in 7 countries – and we are still growing. We’ll soon be opening our newest GSC in central Warsaw, supporting our growing customer base and commitment to operational excellence.
Our new GSC offers a great opportunity for motivated professionals to bring their skills and expertise to a dynamic environment where they can gain cross-functional, end-to-end customer support experience, engage in complex problem-solving with global colleagues, and be at the centre of our global logistics operations.
Find yourself welcome in our diverse and inclusive culture, working alongside a team of more than 2,200 trade and customs experts around the world, where you are valued for who you are and rewarded for what you bring.
Are you ready to play your part in this?
At Maersk Customs Service, we are dedicated to ensuring smooth and compliant customs clearance processes for our international shipments. We are seeking a talented individual to join our team and help us navigate the complexities of global trade.
As a Customs Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our operations. You will coordinate and organize a range of customs services operations - no two days are the same, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow and shape the role to fit your strengths! We work in an Agile environment, so if you love flexibility and continuous learning, you’re in the right place…
Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. You will work closely with our internal logistics and supply chain teams to optimize customs processes and handle post-clearance audits and compliance reporting. Your ability to communicate effectively in both Polish and English will be essential in managing high-volume transactions and providing excellent service to our clients.
Who are we looking for?
Whilst we are looking for individuals with proven experience within logistics or a customs-related role, we are also open to candidates who have transferrable skills and experience, either within a customer facing administrative role and/or a role which requires strong attention-to-detail within a process-orientated environment. Knowledge of EU or global customs regulations, along with experience using any clearance or logistics software and electronic systems will help you excel in the role. If you have a certification in customs compliance or brokerage, that's a plus, but not mandatory.
• Attention to detail – You spot the little things that others might miss!
• Customs & Logistics – You are working in a Customs or Import/export environment
• Tech-savvy – A good working knowledge of MS Office is helpful.
• Independent & deadline-driven – You can manage your own workload and keep things moving.
• Regulated environment experience – If you’ve worked in customs, logistics, or a similar field, that’s a bonus!
• Great communicator – Fluent English and confidence in building relationships. We are also interested in candidates that have additional European languages
• Process-focused & problem-solver – You love improving ways of working.
• Team player – Collaboration is at the heart of what we do!
